I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I've been called by Eonak to learn his craft, so I'm going to be locked up in the forges for a bit, but I'm trying to stay conscious enough to what's happening on the thought channels, so if anyone needs me for anything just send a thought.

Thanks! So far it is going smoothly.. about about 300 ranks of just general forging right now... which yes.. I do know that this is only like 1/4 of the way to the 500 ranks... OOC gotta love GS math! ...

Then I get to make my master forging-hammer ... very much looking forward to that... and then on to mastering blunt weapons. I'll hit training 25 or 26 before I'm done!

The only thing that I have going for me at the moment is that I'm a Dwarven Paladin, which from my research, has the easiest time in learning, crafting and forging. If nothing else... here's hoping!

Oh and 1/2way point is like 483 ranks

I hope these will be good enough, cuz they are just going to have to do... lol

For the forging of my forging-hammer I'm using dforge, it took a little bit of fiddling with to get it to work, but now it's running very smooth. The problem I had was with the container I had it pointing to, so I switched it to my mining pack and now that is working great.

I started yesterday morning and I'm at 339 ranks, but yeah, I've heard that halfway is in the high 400's, which is just crazy! At least my INT bonus is over 20 so I get the +1 from that. And then Dwarves get Crafting - bonus and Forging - small bonus and being a Paladin gives me Crafting - small handicap and Forging - small bonus supposedly (and from what I can tell all professions have at least a small handicap to crafting.

What I am going to start working on is translating the autoforge over to making blunt weapons. It is designed for making OHE, but I don't use those, so, I've got to sit down with the autoforge code and change it over. Should only take a couple of days (not like I have much else going on at the moment!)

Just had a question as I was looking at things...

I know that I can reach 500 in forging - crafting by just making handles.

Can I reach 500 in OHB by just crafting blunt weapon handles? Or do I need to make the whole thing?

Anyone know?

Is there somewhere you can sell you finished, but no perfect forging-hammers... or is that just coins flushed?

Yeah, I'm taking a break from it for now... I did some more researching and I'm just not really there yet to make it completely worthwhile ... let alone the cost to craft a perfect mithril forging-hammer! I didn't realize that it could cost that much and I just don't have the silvers to spare for that right now.

SO.... it's back to hunting for me! A nice change and I'll just settle with my veil iron war hammer for the time being... I soooooo wish that it could be further enchanted! But I finally started sanctifying and bonding with it, I love the plasm flares!

I'll pick back up with forging later... it was a nice time in the forge, but I was missing seeing everyone, so it's nice to be back out again too.

So, I guess this means no crafted weapon help from me for auctions at this point. But let me know what I could do to help out.

Forging is a pain for sure.... and Does cost some $$$$ also....

So.. apparently the world is about to end again....

Here's my bet...

Now that F2P has been introduced and we are seeing an influx of players either coming back or trying it out for the first time....

I'm betting that Simu is getting ready to release Savants....

Timing of everything to me points this way, but I've been known to be COMPLETELY wrong... time will tell!

More planning ahead...

What, from prior experiences, is the cost to raise a 4x fusion shield to 6x? No orbs yet in the shield if that matters....

I got a shield I'm happy with and had it merchant altered EARLY this morning... I love Landing visits by Craftsman Uillo! So, instead of buying another shield, I'd like to keep this one, but am getting to the point that I'd like to provide it a bit more umph ... so if you don't mind sharing your "high end" enchanting cost experience that would be most appreciated!

problem with fusion is the Pre-Temp potion

My Normal Costs
4x-5x : 2mil
5x-6x : 4mil
6x-7x : 6mil

Fusion is Usualy 2x the standard Cost... and POTIONS not included... Potion cost is about 250K and would need enouph for 11 enchants... so possibly 3 potions....

And time would be like 2-3months ish

This is why I'm planning ahead... so if I figure... 3 months and about 10mil (since I'm sure some charge more) in the bank that should on average do a 4x - 6x enchant?

1.4mil down... 8.6mil to go... LOL

Which is not bad... the shield I would love to have if silvers weren't a problem is 40 million ... so 10 mil will happen a LOT faster and I honestly think by that point I'll be attached to this shield too much to get rid of it.
